We have a house! again! lol & Colton pic thoughts

If you've followed the house drama on my blog, you know that A bought us a house in WAY down there Orange County that was a little too secluded and gated. It was beautiful though and he used his connections to fix it up super nice, but then an Asian couple saw it and offered us an insane amount. So we agreed to sell it and use the profit for another house we could owe less on.

Anyways! So we got it. We saw it this afternoon. He took me down. It's closer to the beach cities (Newport) and it's a little smaller and older, but SERIOUSLY. When you step out into the nice backyard and you can feel the ocean breeze even though it's a few miles inland. Wow. I was like "Seriously this is it!" The inside is nice too.

He's going to redo it and open up the kitchen so we have one big area for living/dining/cooking. That was what I really wanted because lots of times I'm trying to talk to him from the kitchen while he's working on his laptop on the couch or at the table and he's like "WHAT Baby??" The location is cool too. It's a lot closer to restaurants and shopping and fun stuff. We're not old yet and I don't want to be trapped out in the hills with old OC snobs.

I can't wait. I'm getting used to the idea of being an online student, kind of. It just will be less hard if I'm not so lonely at home and my dad can work different hours than the husband so he'll be there more.

Dad doesn't really entertain me, but I do miss taking care of him and making sure he's ok. He likes sports and tv and fixing things. He'll finally have a garage area for his tools instead of in the corner of his bedroom. He liked that the house has a workbench that the former owners never really used so it's nice. They had put in a nice counter on it and left the original cover on it. Dad was like "What the hell?" It was 1990 in there. I think dad has been lonely living without me the last few years since I moved in with A. It'll be good to have him back.

Someone emailed asking what I thought Colton looked like. I couldn't quite place the name of the pic I had in my head, then I remembered Froy Gutierrez. The way he's so playful and boyish and semi gay in his roles really makes me think of Colt.

Chapter six of Tabula Colton is up. Check it out. So far I got no feedback, lol. Sometimes that happens when I post too often. I need to hold out on chapter seven for a week or so.

Colton Twists

I have up the first five chapters of Tabula Colton and so far it's going pretty well. It's going to have some major developments in the next chapter when Colton starts to get some answers, or at lease he thinks he does. It might take another twist in the next chapter.

Life with me is good. I'm back from spring break and in classes. We have like six more weeks. I'm actually looking forward to wrapping it up and I'm getting excited to look at new houses with Ash [the husband].

The last three weeks it rained so much and was cold, but today it's hot and OMG the boys of campus are peeling off those shirts in big numbers. They had some mariachi band playing in front of the union and there were lots of skater guys out lounging on the lawn with their shirts off. You kind of get used to it in SoCal but it's that first day of real spring weather that brings it out like crazy.

I was too scared to take pics, but OMG. It just hits you like every spring. I remember at my high school they'd skate around during lunch break and I'd pretend I wasn't perving.

Writing the Colton series takes me back to High School. It was only a few years ago, but I remember feeling so different then. I was the scared quiet friend who luckily had a group. I never got bullied or anything, people just left me alone until I met Ash. He was like the first non-gay (at least I thought) guy who saw me. He was older and confident and saw the world so differently than I did. He made me feel important. He saw me.

Tabula Colton 3

Tabula Colton chapter 3 is up now. I hope people like it. I haven't gotten too much response, but I really like writing it and the story is piecing itself together in my head. It's kind of hard writing and doing school. This is kind of crunch time, but I have spring break coming up so I mapped out my projects and papers to get them done.

A, the husband, is getting really busy with work and Oh! The big news!

So that couple that was looking at our new house. We finished the remodel and they love it. It turns out that their parents bought a house down the street so now they REALLY want our house. A. told them that I didn't really want to sell it and they upped the offer and then it got appraised for higher. The Orange County real estate market is CRAZY! A. says we are going to make a crazy profit off it and now he kind of wants to get in on the real estate flipping craze. I told him sure he can do that but I don't want us to have to move every six months when we finish a house.

He says we will find a house just for us and then we can flip other houses on the side. He has a few investors that are wanting to put in the money for it so basically he would just find the places and use his connections to fix them up and then sell them. He works so hard. He just really loves what he does. He's a workaholic for sure. He's trying to build up something so he can spend time with our kids when we have them and have a secure future for us. That's good. I just try to keep him from getting too stressed out.

Tabula Colton

I wrote the first chapter of a new series called "Tabula Colton."

I was all excited because it posted in both Authoritarian and Adult Youth on Nifty, but then when I opened it the formatting was crazy off and full of question marks where quotation marks and apostrophes should be. Ugh! not good!

So I fixed it and reposted and now it's all good. But I think the damage is already done and no one read it. I usually get a bunch of feedback with a new story, but this one only got a few emails pointing out the mistakes in formatting. :) Oh well!

The story is interesting. Here's the synapsis of the first chapter:
----
Waking up from being hit by a car, Miguel finds himself in the body of a teenage white boy named Colton whose guardian/lover is an older muscle-daddy, mixed-race (Asian-black-white) man he only knows as Mr. Takada. The police report shows that Miguel Montes never existed and now he’s figuring out life as a gay teen, but more secrets are to come…
----

I'm not sure where I'll go with it. I have a lot of chapter 2 written. The idea came from some business investment guys my husband works with. He has this one client who is this really hot Japanese-American guy who is always kind of flirty with me and a fantasy I had...

I see Colton and Mr. Takada as this, but you can picture them how you want if you read it:
